Being a cat in my last life If my owner would not comfort me I’d hide and get out of the way. Retreat until the coast was clear.
Being human overwhelmed with an unsettling move I’d go for a walk and treat myself to a pistachio ice cream. Reward for finding a new space to create. Return to my new home. Make the bed. Make my office desk area ready and start creating-writing, with cats; one in a drawer the other on my lap. Comfy cozy and all of us feeling good about the movement of our time well spent together. No stress.
Yep. I did this - I went for a big, bold pancha karma to "snap" as you say, out of an avalanche of changes that were starting to affect my body. Good old reliable pancha karma. It has worked before but for some reason, it wasn't my best choice in 2024 (I was overly purged from an inexperienced practitioner). Looking back, I can now see, when the space around you is in massive and unprecedented flux, one small step in front of the other is the most radical thing we can do. Bravo - well positioned and well written. I loved your insight.
Oh no, I'm sorry it went badly for you and hope you are well recovered. Much of our success in healing depends on our internal capacity to tolerate and absorb the treatment in question. Thanks for sharing your experience.
under the best of circumstances moving is profoundly distressing and discombobulating- and who moves under the best of circumstances? Great to read you’re coming out on the other side. I enjoy your writing a lot - glad to see it here this morning!!
Good reminders of trusting the natural flow even in challenging situations. And i would add "intuition" as another form of inner knowing and guidance. Feel good in the new space.
“Simplicity is often the most soothing thing to an overwhelmed system.” Finding simple and regular practices, that may even seem subtle, has been important for me, and I feel it’s cultivating a stronger sense of trust within my body and nervous system.
Aloha Sistah🌈🐬
Great works as always 🙏🏼
I especially appreciate this one .
Bless it up 🦋

Glad you mentioned intuition---it's coming in part 2 :)
Nice, looking forward to it : )

Your cats are so beautiful! Congratulations on moving to a new place!
"sense enough space in myself"
i exhaled when i read that 😥
"Honouring our instincts is therefore one way to peel back the layers of overthinking"
hmm .. i do that but now i know why 🌞
